It's an approx. 10 minute’s walk from the Good Hotel however please allow additional time to find your way on the first day.

From the Good Hotel – walk towards the ExCeL London venue (you should pass the IBIS then the Novotel Hotel ExCeL on the way). 

From the public square in front of the Novotel you’ll see the Sunborn Yacht Hotel to your right and the ExCeL venue straight ahead. Walk up the stairs at ExCeL towards the pyramid entrance and turn right towards the docks. (Do not go into the pyramid entrance.) When you come to the dock edge, turn left and walk approx. half way along the promenade.

PICK UP PACKED LUNCH AND TOUR TICKET

Pick up from the CentrEd lounge.

(LST staff will direct you to the pick-up location)

PREPARE TO DEPART

After the Education Programme - we will split you into two groups.

​

Depart with your group from CentrEd at the following times:

• Group 1 - leave CentrEd at 12.10 with Nick, Noel and Maria
  
  

• Group 2 - leave CentrEd at 12.30 with Siobhan, Mick and Zak

Then

TRAVEL FROM EXCEL TO THE BIGBUS COMPANY STOP AT TOWER OF LONDON (TO VALIDATE TICKETS)

• From Custom House for ExCeL DLR, take the DLR to Tower Gateway DLR Station.

• From Tower Gateway DLR, follow signs towards Tower of London and look for the Big Bus Company Stop No. 17 on the main road in front of the Tower. 

• There will be Big Bus Company staff in this location who will exchange your ticket for a validated ticket

• You need this validated ticket to get on to the river cruise.

Then

WALK TO THE TOWER MILLENNIUM PIER

• the Big Bus Company staff will direct you towards the Tower Millennium Pier.

• at the Tower Millennium Pier - use your validated ticket for entry on to the 'City Cruises" river cruise

Once you arrive at Tower Millennium Pier

RIVER CRUISE

Your hop-on-hop-off bus tour ticket includes a river cruise with "City Cruises" from Tower Millennium Pier to Westminster Pier.

The cruises leave on a regular basis, and your group will catch the first available cruise after having their tickets validated.

(While you are waiting for your river cruise – there are stunning backdrops for photos with Tower Bridge and the Tower of London)

Once you arrive at Westminster Pier

“LONDON EXPERIENCE”

When you leave the river cruise at Westminster Pier you no longer have to stay with the large group.

We suggest you take one of these three options:

• Walk to Westminster Abbey (20 Deans Yard , London , SW1P 3PA) for photo opportunities at Westminster Palace, Big Ben and Parliament Square. Your closest stop to join the Big Bus Tour is Stop No 21, "College Green" on Abingdon Street. 
  
  

• Walk across Westminster Bridge for cityscape photo opportunities along the River Thames, the London Eye and the London Aquarium. Your closest stop to join the Big Bus Tour is Stop No 38, the "London Eye" 
  
  

• Walk along Parliament Street towards Downing Street (postcode SW1A 2AA) for photo opportunities of Horseguards Parade, Downing Street and the Cenotaph. Your closest stop to join the Big Bus Tour is Stop No 11, "Whitehall".

Alternatively look around the local area then use your BigBusTour App to find a BigBus Stop.

After your "London Experience"

HOP-ON/HOP-OFF LONDON BUS TOUR

Once you join the hop-on-hop-off bus tour you can alight and rejoin the bus tour at any of the tour stops to take photos or visit sights and attractions.

You can do this individually or with small groups of friends. You don't need to stay with the larger group from this point on.
